A series of crafty business zines by Katy Penman of Girl Industries. Katy contacted lots of friends and acquaintances out there in the world of craft and asked them a series of questions about their crafty skills, practices and business. The result is a series of 12 zines.

Crafters answer how they 'get in the crafting zone' when settling down to create something new, or work on a crafty project. 24 pages.

Crafters talk about their 'Ultimate Crafting Goals' in terms of their art, crafts, or small business. 24 pages.

#4 - The starting a crafty business issue
Crafters talk about how and when they decided to start their own craft businesses. 24 pages.

#5 - The crafty advice you wish you'd had issue
Crafters give advice for anyone running a small crafty enterprise, ranging from the pithy to the in-depth. 20 pages.

#6 - The crafting and home life issue
Crafters talk about whether they feel their home life and crafting can co-exist peacefully. 20 pages.

#7 - The crafty inspiration issue
Crafters answer the question, who or what inspires you to create? 16 pages.

#8 - The crafty spaces issue
Crafters show off their studios, workrooms, desks and even gardens! 20 pages in full colour.

#9 - The FAILCRAFT issue
Crafters answer the question, what was your greatest craft mishap? 20 pages.

#10 - The desert island issue
Crafters answer the question, what would be your desert island must-have item? 12 pages.

#11 - The crafty road trip issue
Craftersanswer the question, have you ever taken a holiday or trip to see or do something crafty? 16 pages.

#12 - The crafty connections issue
Crafters share connections and networks they've made as they make and do. 20 pages.

Printing Details
Each zine (except #8) is black and white photocopied with a coloured paper cover and limited to 50 copies. A5 ( 6" x 8") in size.

Girl Industries is Katy Penman who loves to write and make things and then write about it some more. She's a keen upcycler who likes to sew, knit and make stationery. When she's not doing any of that, she spends time with friends, family and her cats, reads about industrial and social history, and sets off on travels, particularly in the Scottish countryside, the US and the major cities of Europe. She has a soft spot for teen movies, contemporary fiction, the occasional Bloody Mary, Radio 4 and 6music.

Shipping & Returns

Order Shipping
Orders are shipped regularly on Mondays and Thursdays, unless specified otherwise in the item description (eg. vendor shipping). Large orders and Recorded Delivery may take a little longer. If you need your item in a hurry, want it sent as a gift or have any other requests, just let me know and I'll do my best to help. You will be emailed when your order has shipped.

Vendor Shipping
Items marked 'shipped by vendor' are sent direct from the author and will be shipped within 5 days. If other items are ordered, you will receive multiple parcels and will be emailed when each part has shipped.

Delivery Times
UK orders are sent First Class and usually arrive in 1-3 days.
International orders are sent Airmail and usually arrive in 5-21 days.

Returns
If you are not satisfied with your item/s please return as packaged and in unused condition within seven days of receipt for a full refund via PayPal, minus shipping costs. Any returned item that shows obvious signs of wear will not incur a refund. Please email me to discuss your problem before returning any items.
