Free Advice!
If you have questions about zinemaking, I'm happy to give you some pointers free of charge. For a general introduction to zinemaking, check out Let's Make Zines!, a zine I wrote for a workshop (it's also available as a printable PDF). It has tips on printing services, layout, content and resources for printing, publishing and selling your zine.
Layout & Design
Have you got lots of content for your zine but don't have the time or skills to get it ready for print? I'm experienced with InDesign (professional print design software), and can lay out your content ready for photocopying or to a printing company's requirements. I'll work with you closely to match your design ideas and budget. Plus you'll have a PDF version included free of charge if you want to offer digital downloads.
PDF Zines
If you want to make your zine available for digital download, I can convert your original files or paper zines into a PDF file, laid out either for printing or viewing. I can also add deterrents against printing and copying your content and advise on keeping file sizes down.
Printing
If you can't find an affordable printer near you, or don't have the time to deal with it, let me handle the printing! I'll get your zine photocopied or printed up and shipped to you ready for sale.
Classic Reprints
If you published a popular zine back in the olden days, I can help with creating a new print edition or digital version.
Publishing and Distribution
pushpin publishing will be taking on a few zine projects every year - with these zines, pushpin will handle all the layout, design, printing and distribution with you receiving a percentage of sales. If you have an amazing zine project in mind, but lack the funds to get it going, please email me to discuss.
Selling your zine
Already published a zine? pushpin is happy to receive submissions for sale in the shop.
